Some couples want the vows themselves to be the centrepiece: open sky, a quiet gazebo and the people they love gathered close.

SANDSTONE Ceremony and Photography Venue is set on a 77-acre property in Sturgeon County, about 12 minutes from St. Albert and 20 minutes from Spruce Grove. Five acres are dedicated to outdoor ceremonies and portraits.

Ceremonies take place at a handmade gazebo, with bench seating provided for guests. Rentals are offered in three-hour time slots, giving couples time to arrive, exchange vows and linger for photographs.

The grounds are designed with photographs in mind. A rustic barn and granary, a vintage porch, a 100-year-old horse buggy, a family-style hay wagon and an outdoor photo booth offer a range of backdrops.

Couples can choose from décor packages in County Style, Romantic Floral, Burgundy and Boho looks, and large cocktail tables with umbrellas give guests somewhere to gather after the ceremony.

There is parking on site for more than 60 vehicles, which keeps arrival simple for family and friends.
