Rouge

At Rouge, a wedding unfolds in a restored Victorian farmhouse, with vows spoken in a kitchen garden where the evening's vegetables are still growing.

The restaurant fills the historic AE Cross House in Inglewood, one of Calgary's oldest Victorian estates, and has been welcoming guests for 25 years. The house can be booked as a whole for a wedding.

Ceremonies take place in the garden for up to 130 guests, and the garden and covered patio can host up to 116 for a reception in the warmer months.

Inside, the farmhouse is a series of character rooms: the main floor for up to 60, a large gallery for 40, the parlour and dining room for 20 each, a small gallery and a kitchen bar. Together the whole house welcomes up to 110 guests.

The kitchen cooks with the seasons, and produce from the on site garden goes straight to the plate. At a plated dinner, servers pour the wine and take each guest's order at the table, so everyone chooses their own dish on the night.
