Riverbend Community Association

A wedding at Riverbend Community Association brings family and friends together in a welcoming community centre in a neighbourhood named for a bend in the Bow River.

Riverbend sits in southeast Calgary, where the land rolls from river floodplain up to escarpment, with views of the Rocky Mountains and wooded flats along the water. The community is close to the city pathway system and Carburn Park.

The Bow River Room is the largest space, seating up to 130 guests at tables or 176 theatre style. It opens straight onto the commercial kitchen and to the outdoors, and it has audio visual equipment for speeches and music.

The Elbow River Room suits smaller gatherings, with room for 40 at tables or 70 theatre style, and it opens onto a brand new patio. The kitchen includes a commercial fridge, dishwasher and warming ovens.

Decorating the evening before is possible for an added fee when the date allows, and room viewings are offered by appointment. Events serving alcohol need a private special event licence, and staff are happy to help with the booking.
