Okanagan Mission Community Hall

Some places carry the memory of generations of celebrations, and a wedding here becomes part of that long story.

The Okanagan Mission Community Hall sits in the heart of Okanagan Mission in Kelowna, run by the Okanagan Mission Community Hall Association, a registered charity that has been a gathering place for the Mission community since 1937.

Two halls share the site. The Big Red Barn is the iconic main hall, with soaring ceilings and a warm, rustic character, and it welcomes wedding receptions, galas and larger celebrations.

The Big Red Barn holds up to 253 guests, with around 170 recommended for a round-table seated dinner and 210 with rectangle tables and a dance floor.

It comes with a stage, a large commercial kitchen and an audio visual setup with projector and screen. Tables, chairs, plates, cutlery and glassware are included in the rental.

The Scout Hall is a charming log building suited to more intimate gatherings, holding up to 72 guests, with up to 60 recommended for a seated meal. It has a small commercial kitchen, and tables and chairs are included.

Both halls offer on-site parking, and full weekend and single-day packages are available, with linen and chair cover rentals as extras.

A couple might spend the Friday decorating the barn with family, then gather everyone under those high ceilings the next evening.
