Mouton Village

At Mouton Village, couples say their vows among flowering gardens, with grain fields, meadows and a view of Mont Saint-Hilaire all around.

This family estate in Saint-Charles-sur-Richelieu has hosted gatherings since 1972, and the Fontaine family has run it as restaurateurs from one generation to the next. New flowers are planted in the gardens every year, and the property reaches down toward the Richelieu River.

Ceremonies are held outside in the gardens, with several spots to choose from and a plan for rainy days as well.

Two rooms suit different guest counts. The Salle du Lys welcomes 90 to 175 guests under a soaring solid wood cathedral ceiling, with a large dance floor and a terrace set among garden artworks. The Salle du Richelieu, with a warm rustic chic feel, hosts 40 to 90 guests.

The kitchen cooks with Québec products sourced as close to home as possible, and the wedding menus change with the seasons: a fresh spring menu, a summer of love menu, autumn harvest, winter, and a maple brunch. Terraces and a marquee add space for cocktails outdoors.
