At Mount Royal University, a wedding can begin beside a waterfall and pond in a landscaped garden, then move into a bright hall with vaulted ceilings for dinner and dancing.

The university's event team in Calgary plans weddings across its campus, which offers green spaces, gardens and a mix of architecture that make for varied photo backdrops.

Ceremonies can be held outdoors at the TransCanada Amphitheatre, surrounded by lush planting, or in the Dr. John H. Garden Memorial Park with its waterfall and pond. For something indoors, the Hal and Marnie Wyatt Atelier has a wood feature wall and large windows.

Receptions take place in Ross Glen Hall or the Bella Concert Hall, the university's signature concert venue. Ross Glen Hall has vaulted ceilings and tall windows facing southeast, seats up to 400 for a banquet, and can be divided for smaller parties.

Packages include a dedicated wedding specialist, full setup and takedown, time to decorate on the day, a room for the wedding party, a raised head table, a dance floor and audiovisual equipment.

The in house kitchen prepares buffet or plated dinners with salads, soups, mains, sides, fresh rolls and dessert, with china and linens included. Wine and bar service are available, and a menu tasting for two is part of the plan.
