Merivale United Church, Hall & Gardens

There is something quietly lovely about a wedding held in a place with a long history. At Merivale United Church, gothic arched windows, lush gardens and an airy, inviting interior bring that feeling to a celebration in the midst of the city.

The church and its hall can be rented separately or together, so couples can marry in the sanctuary and then walk a few steps to their reception.

The church welcomes up to approximately 100 guests for a ceremony, while the hall accommodates up to around 80 guests for a seated meal.

Merivale welcomes all couples, of all orientations and faith backgrounds. Couples may be married through the United Church by the church's minister, or simply rent the space and bring in the officiant of their choice.

A hall rental includes the main upstairs hall and the downstairs foyer. Couples bring in the caterer of their choice, and the team is happy to suggest local vendors.

Use of the gardens at the front and back of the church is included with a rental of either the church or the hall, giving guests somewhere to gather outdoors and giving the photographer a beautiful backdrop.

Free on-site parking and transit links at the door make arriving simple for family and friends coming from across Ottawa.
