McIntosh Country Inn & Conference Centre

At the McIntosh Country Inn, a wedding comes with small-town warmth in Morrisburg, just up from the banks of the St. Lawrence River in eastern Ontario.

The inn began more than 30 years ago as a local gathering spot. After a stretch as a franchise hotel, three local residents stepped in to save it, refreshing the guest rooms, the restaurant and the tavern and adding a modern conference centre. Its name honours the famous McIntosh apple, first grown just minutes away.

Weddings and banquets take place in the McIntosh Room on the main level, which seats up to 120 and can be split into an East room for 60 and a West room for 40. The lower-level Dundas Room suits a mid-size gathering, and the Locke Room, filled with antique furnishings and the story of a renowned local foot doctor, makes a charming spot for a small private meal.

Catering comes from the inn's own Orchard Restaurant kitchen, with menus tailored to each event, and Mac's Tavern is on site for drinks.

Guests can stay overnight in nearly 60 rooms, including jacuzzi rooms and suites, and enjoy an outdoor heated pool, sauna and whirlpool. The inn is close to historic sites, golf and parks along the St. Lawrence, and about an hour from Ottawa.
