Lawrence House

At Lawrence House, couples marry at a restored Victorian mansion surrounded by quiet pasture and forest, just ten minutes outside Saskatoon.

The house was built in 1906 in Hanley for a local merchant and was the largest home in the area at the time. It later belonged to Thomas and Maria Lawrence, a farming family who were active in their community, and in 1975 it was moved to its present acreage.

Since 2016 the current owners have spent six years restoring it with care. The twelve rooms have tall ornate ceilings, exposed hardwood floors, custom Victorian bathrooms and kitchen, refinished brick chimneys and antique tin ceiling tiles rescued from historic Moose Jaw hotels.

Inside, the house welcomes up to 75 guests standing or 50 for dinner in any season. For larger weddings, outdoor tent packages hold up to 150.

Several acres of serene pasture ringed by forest give couples a lovely setting for photos, and there is parking on site for around 50 vehicles.

Couples bring their own caterer, and the house can also be rented for weekend overnight stays.
