Huntsman Marine Science Centre

Imagine raising a glass while the residents of the Bay of Fundy glide past behind the glass. It is not every day a wedding celebration unfolds in an aquarium, and that is exactly the charm.

The Huntsman Marine Science Centre in St. Andrews, New Brunswick, hosts wedding ceremonies and receptions with private access to the entire Fundy Discovery Aquarium.

The Anderson Gallery and Flemer Gallery sit on the first floor of the aquarium and can comfortably host around 150 guests for a reception-style event, or up to approximately 72 for a more formal seated dinner.

Ceremonies can be held indoors in the aquarium or outside on the grounds. The ceremony arrangements include event staff, a rehearsal, chairs, speakers and a microphone.

Seasonally, the grounds, viewing decks and low tide access to the intertidal beach add more space for guests to wander and enjoy the sea air.

All food and beverages are provided by Huntsman Marine Hospitality, and events are served without personal single-use plastics as part of the centre's commitment to a debris-free Fundy. Food stations can be placed through the galleries and grounds for strolling dinners, with wine pairings or a cash bar available.

Guests can also enjoy optional experiences, from naturalists sharing stories of the exhibits to a diver interacting with guests through the Bay of Fundy tank, or the chance to touch tide pool animals such as sea stars and sea urchins.
