Heron Bay Stables

Some wedding days are best spent outdoors, among open space, horses and the natural beauty of the west coast.

Heron Bay Stables is home to an 11-acre working horse stable in Ladner, BC, offering a local yet rustic setting full of natural beauty and rustic charm.

Couples can exchange vows alongside the garden pond or beneath the rustic gazebo. Afterwards, the adjacent waterfront offers photographs with a backdrop of Mount Baker.

The property's 1905 heritage home is made available for photographing pre-wedding preparations, while guests can remain on site enjoying refreshments, lawn games and music.

The courtyard in front of the charming heritage barn provides ample space for the reception and dancing. Receptions can range from a fully catered sit-down dinner to a buffet or a casual, serviced evening of hors d'oeuvres.

The venue accommodates up to approximately 150 guests, with tents, tables, chairs, flatware, linens, décor, a sound system and ample parking.

The horses can be part of the day as transportation or for photos, as can the stable's 1956 Fargo truck.

Only one wedding is hosted per weekend, giving couples exclusive access to the property for set-up, rehearsal and take-down. The pre-wedding services of an Event Manager and onsite supervision are included, with a team of partner vendors available.
