High above Vancouver, the city, the ocean and the mountains all seem to gather in one view. At Grouse Mountain, that view becomes part of the wedding.
Known as The Peak of Vancouver and about a 15 minute drive from downtown, Grouse Mountain offers an all-inclusive mountaintop setting centred on its Peak Chalet.
Ceremonies can take place at the Georgia Strait Lookout, perched on a ridge in front of the Chalet, with space for 80 seated theatre style or about 150 with a mix of seated and standing guests. Speakers, a wireless microphone, a wooden arbour and garden chairs are included.
Altitudes is the mountain's premiere wedding venue, with the feel of a sophisticated lodge and a large outdoor patio across three levels. It welcomes around 80 plated guests, 130 buffet indoors, 180 including the outdoor decks and 160 for a standing reception.
The Timber Room, with timber beams and a stone fireplace, suits ceremonies, dinners and cocktail receptions for up to 100 guests. The Observatory, a fine dining restaurant overlooking Vancouver, hosts intimate celebrations of around 54 plated guests. Larger groups can book the whole Chalet.
The culinary team creates reception menus built on fresh, local ingredients, and wedding planners guide couples through timeline, menu and floor plan. Dance floor, linens, a sound system, bartenders and a rehearsal are among the inclusions.
Before or after the ceremony, guests can enjoy seasonal activities on the mountaintop, from the Lumberjack Show and a visit with the resident grizzly bear in summer to skiing and skating in winter. Elopement and pop-up wedding packages are also available.
For couples who want a celebration above the city with chalet warmth and sweeping views, Grouse Mountain offers a wedding that feels truly elevated.
