Glendale Golf and Country Club

Some wedding days are shaped by water. At Glendale, the Assiniboine River runs alongside the celebration, giving vows and photographs a quiet, natural backdrop.

Glendale Golf & Country Club sits along the banks of the Assiniboine in west Winnipeg, near Portage Avenue and the Perimeter, on a private golf course with plenty of places to pause for pictures.

Ceremonies and cocktail hour take place on the Riverside Terrace, where outdoor ceremonies can accommodate up to 200 guests, so everyone can gather by the river before moving inside. In winter, the Glendale Restaurant can serve as the cocktail hour space.

Receptions are held in the Riverview Room, where the banquet room can hold 200 guests at round tables of eight to ten. Weddings of more than 200 can be booked at the discretion of the wedding coordinator, and for weddings of 100 or more the Glendale Room becomes a bar and late-night snack space.

Couples can access the banquet room from 10 am and keep it until 1:30 am, with locker rooms available for both sides of the wedding party to get ready at the club.

The club offers all-inclusive wedding packages with plenty of room to personalize the details, and catering is provided by the club, with outside food not permitted apart from the wedding cake or dessert. The wedding coordinator works with each couple to plan the day.
