German Canadian Cultural Centre

There is a particular warmth to celebrating in a place built by a community, where tradition, music and good company have been part of the rooms for years.

The German Canadian Cultural Centre, operated by the German Canadian Cultural Association in Edmonton, offers banquet facilities for groups of around 25 to 400 guests. Weddings are among the many celebrations it hosts, alongside anniversaries, birthdays and company functions.

The Main Ballroom is the largest space. At 5,400 square feet, it can seat up to approximately 400 guests and is formed by combining the Bavarian Room, which seats around 200, and the Heidelberg Room, which seats around 125. Sample floor plans can be adapted to suit each event.

The Alpine Cellar offers a distinct setting for up to approximately 150 guests, a lovely choice for a more intimate reception or a lively evening gathering.

For smaller occasions such as a rehearsal dinner, the Oak Room seats around 60 and the Linden Room seats around 40. Together they can be combined to seat approximately 90 guests.

The centre invites couples to arrange viewings, bookings and meal selections directly with its office, and a gallery of past events offers decoration ideas for the Ballroom and Alpine Cellar.
