Festival Hall

At Festival Hall, a wedding feels like a night at a favourite music hall, with reclaimed wood farm tables, a real stage and room for the whole crowd to dance.

This boutique event space sits in the heart of historic Inglewood and is run by the Folk Festival Society of Calgary. For well over a decade it has hosted concerts, theatre, dance, film, markets and weddings.

The main hall is acoustically tuned for live music, with movable stage platforms, a professional sound system and an optional sound technician, plus a large projector and screen for slideshows. Sit down dinners seat about 120 to 140 guests, and the hall holds up to 225 people in total.

An eight hour rental includes 200 padded chairs, four reclaimed wood farm tables, banquet tables and tall cocktail tables. The lobby has a service area for the bar and catering, backed by a well equipped kitchenette.

Upstairs, the Muruve Green Room gives the wedding party a private place to get ready, with mirrors, sinks, a shower and an accessible washroom.

Couples bring in their own caterer, and the hall can supply bartenders or let couples bring their own licence and drinks. The space has a friendly do it yourself spirit, so couples and their helpers handle setup and the event itself.
