Dalnavert Museum

At Dalnavert Museum, couples can say their vows in the parlour of a restored Victorian mansion or on its veranda on a summer afternoon.

Built in 1895, Dalnavert is a small Victorian mansion in downtown Winnipeg, restored with period furnishings so that guests step back into the 19th century.

Summer couples can marry on the veranda or in the garden, and the lawn package welcomes up to 50 guests. For a very intimate wedding, the historic parlour holds up to 20 people, wedding party included.

Each package includes three hours of exclusive access to the house and the Visitors' Centre, chairs for guests and a small table for signing. The Visitors' Centre, which holds up to 75, becomes the receiving area for refreshments and serves as the rain backup for lawn weddings.

Food and drink stay out of the historic house, but couples are free to bring the caterer of their choice to the Visitors' Centre and grounds.
