Cranbrook History Centre

Some weddings are set against mountains or lakes. At the Cranbrook History Centre, the backdrop is history itself, from a grand hall to vintage train cars.

Located in the heart of Cranbrook, the History Centre welcomes weddings, receptions and celebrations of many kinds.

Receptions centre on the Royal Alexandra Hall. The hall seats up to 280 for ceremonies and assembly events and up to 184 for dinners at round tables of eight. With dancing, the suggested seating is between 128 and 152, depending on the size of the dance floor.

For ceremonies, couples can choose the Royal Alexandra Hall for larger groups, or something more intimate in the Museum Entrance Hall, the Solarium River Rouge Train Car or the Dining Car Argyle.

The adjacent Reception Hall can accommodate large buffets and plated service, the Palm Court can be used for bar service, and the Entrance Hall works well for greeting guests. A catering kitchen is available for plating, and the team can recommend experienced caterers.

Wedding rentals include tables and chairs, a highchair, decorative easels, an antique podium and WiFi. Photo packages offer access to the museum and to the trains, inside and out.

The facility is wheelchair accessible, with a central elevator.
