Chestermere Recreation Centre

At Chestermere Recreation Centre, a wedding comes together in the heart of a lakeside town, with Chestermere Lake just beside the grounds.

Run by the Chestermere Regional Community Association, the centre offers large indoor halls that couples can dress up to suit their own style, along with outdoor space on the grounds for a ceremony or reception in the warmer months.

The Main Hall is the largest room, with about 5,800 square feet of floor space, a 720 square foot stage and a built-in bar, and it holds up to 400 guests. The MPP Hall seats up to 200 and is known for its natural light, and The Hideout Lounge, overlooking the curling arena, can be rented in the off-season for gatherings of up to 120.

Smaller rooms in the building work as getting-ready suites for the wedding party, and packages can pair a hall with one of these rooms or stretch across more than one day for a longer celebration. Couples can also book the evening before to decorate.

Full-day rentals include basic setup and takedown of tables and chairs and use of the hall kitchen, bartenders can be arranged on request, and couples are free to bring in their own caterer and other outside vendors.
