Camrose Heritage Railway Station and Park

A wedding at the Camrose Heritage Railway Station feels like stepping into another era, with a 1911 depot surrounded by thirteen gardens in bloom.

The station was built in 1911 and grew as rail traffic increased. After the railway closed it, the station was donated to the Canadian Northern Society in 1990, and the park opened in 1993. Today it is a Provincial Historic Resource.

The grounds also hold a watchman's shelter, a railway section bunkhouse, a vintage hand car and the Morgan Garden Railway, a charming model railway that runs through the gardens in summer.

The thirteen gardens, with names like Hummingbird, Hollyhock, Lupin and Wild Flower, make a lovely setting for small weddings and unforgettable photographs. Couples can rent the station and its grounds, choosing from several options.

Indoors, the Depot Community Room seats 40 at tables, and the smaller King George Room seats 11, with a community kitchen nearby.
