Some wedding venues are rented. Lost Field Farm is grown. Flowers, gardens and fields on this Salt Spring Island property become part of the day long before any guest arrives.
Formerly known as Bullock Lake Farm, Lost Field Farm is a 24-acre working farm, floral studio and wedding venue in Coast Salish territory, with organic gardens, lakefront, rolling pasture, woodland and a hundred-year-old orchard.
The team has hosted weddings here for over a decade and hosts only five weddings each year, which allows each celebration to receive the full attention of the same people from the first conversation to the last hour of the night.
Settings across the property include the Barn, the Tent, the Lake Meadow, the Beech Meadow, the Kitchen and the Flower Field. The venue can accommodate 150 people, with a canvas stretch tent included in the signature wedding package.
That package brings together venue access, staffing, setup and breakdown, and coordination, from partial planning and timeline creation to rehearsal, ceremony and day-of coordination. Ceremony benches, a signing table, an arbour, a bar, lounge furniture, string lights and farm-crafted harvest tables are all part of the collection.
Florals are grown and designed on site by the farm's own studio, alongside a curated collection of dinnerware, glassware, linens and vases, plus an outdoor portable AV system with microphone.
For couples who want something smaller still, a fully hosted elopement welcomes up to 8 guests, with a ceremony in one of the farm's outdoor locations, personal flowers, an officiant, photography and a picnic to follow.
For couples who dream of a flower-filled island wedding where one devoted team takes care of every detail, Lost Field Farm offers a celebration rooted in the land itself.
