Broadway Theatre lets couples do something wonderfully literal on their wedding day: take centre stage.

Built in 1946, Saskatoon's community-owned Art Deco theatre brings vintage character, red theatre seating and a proper performance stage into the ceremony.

The auditorium can accommodate approximately 430 seated guests, making it possible for a large group of family and friends to watch the vows without turning the moment into a conventional ballroom setup.

A 660-square-foot stage becomes the heart of the ceremony.

Professional projection, sound and customizable LED lighting allow couples to bring music, photographs and personal details into the experience in ways that would be difficult to recreate in a traditional venue.

Two backstage dressing rooms give the wedding party somewhere private to prepare before the doors open.

The theatre also operates an all-ages licensed concession, adding another playful possibility for guests gathering around the ceremony.
