Belmore Community Centre

At the Belmore Community Centre, a wedding reception feels like a true small-town gathering, warmed by a stone fireplace in a hall the community looks after itself.

Belmore is a small hamlet in Southern Ontario, sitting on the line between Huron and Bruce counties where three townships meet. The centre is run by volunteers and supported entirely through local fundraising.

The large hall was recently renovated with acoustic tiles, dimmable LED lighting, live edge bar tops and a feature stone wall with a fireplace. A large smart TV, Bluetooth sound system, cordless microphone and free Wi-Fi help with speeches, slideshows and music. A smaller hall and a lounge with a kitchenette suit showers and more intimate get-togethers.

Belmore Catering, a volunteer group known around the area for home-cooked meals, can plan a custom menu, and couples are also welcome to bring their own caterer and rent the kitchen. The hall can be booked licensed for a bar.

For couples who picture a homey country reception with good food, local volunteers behind the scenes and a fireplace glowing in the corner, the Belmore Community Centre offers a welcoming, down-to-earth celebration.
