Atlantic School of Theology

Atlantic School of Theology may be one of Halifax's more unexpected wedding venues.

The waterfront campus sits in the city's South End overlooking the Northwest Arm, combining historic architecture, green grounds and a peaceful setting surprisingly close to downtown.

The School explicitly welcomes intimate weddings and special events.

Couples can exchange vows inside St. Columba Chapel or hold the ceremony outdoors on the campus grounds.

That choice allows the wedding to reflect the couple rather than forcing every ceremony into the same format.

The historic 1898 Building adds another distinctive space with character that feels almost completely removed from a standard hotel reception room.
