Arta Gallery

A wedding at Arta Gallery takes place among original paintings, with the cobblestone lanes of Toronto's historic Distillery District just outside the door.

The gallery sits on Distillery Lane in downtown Toronto and shows contemporary work by Canadian and international artists, so the walls themselves become part of the decor for the day.

The open room can host a ceremony and reception in one place. It seats up to 90 for dinner or welcomes about 150 for a cocktail style celebration, and dimmable track lighting lets couples soften the room as the evening goes on.

The rental comes with a good set of essentials: 110 white folding chairs, tables, a signing table, coat racks, lounge furniture from the gallery, surround sound, a wireless microphone and a projector with a white wall for a slideshow. An event supervisor stays from setup to teardown.

Couples are free to bring in the caterer of their choice, and an on-site kitchen with a convection oven helps the food team. There is no corkage fee and no minimum spend.

The space is wheelchair accessible, and public parking is available in the district.
