With 1000 Islands and Seaway Cruises, a wedding drifts out onto the St. Lawrence, where couples can exchange vows with island scenery or the Brockville skyline behind them and dine as the sun goes down over the river.
The company sails from Block House Island in historic downtown Brockville, and every summer it welcomes several wedding parties aboard. Couples can book a boat for the ceremony, the dinner, the reception or the whole celebration from start to finish.
The fleet is made up of small and mid-sized boats. Sea Fox II, a modern twin-deck catamaran, carries up to 100 guests, with dining for 56 on the lower deck and 30 on the upper. General Brock III, a twin-deck monohull, takes up to 56, with seating for 32 below and 24 above.
For the smallest celebrations, two tiki boats joined the fleet in 2026, each carrying 12 guests under a thatched palapa roof, or 24 when both sail together. The company also plans monthly elopement cruises on the tiki boats for up to five couples, with an officiant, music and catered platters.
Because the boats are compact, they can slip into narrower, quieter channels that larger vessels cannot reach. Along the way guests may see Millionaire's Row, the Brock Group of Islands, island cottages and the big international ships moving through the Seaway.
Every cruise has a licensed bar along with a licensed captain and crew. Couples can plan everything themselves or ask the team to help with catering, entertainment, decorating and an officiant, and a DJ or live band can keep the dancing going under the stars.
The season runs from early May to the end of October. Boats are also available for rehearsal dinners and gatherings the day after the wedding.
For couples who picture vows on the water, a sunset dinner and dancing as the islands slip past, 1000 Islands and Seaway Cruises offers a wedding that feels like a summer evening on the river with everyone they love.
