My name is Mike Hetherington and I decided to become an officiant when I had trouble finding the right fit for my own wedding in 2023. I obtained my license through Humanist Canada and am registered with the Province of Ontario to solemnize marriage.

My goal is to give you the exact wedding you want without blowing your budget.

I love helping you shine in front of your family and friends with heartfelt, yet fun ceremonies that are typically 10-15 minutes, though the length - and all elements of the ceremony right down to what I wear - are up to you!

If a big wedding isn't for you, I also perform ceremonies for couples who would often to be forced to head to City Hall. These ceremonies can be done for couples having a friend or family member perform a symbolic ceremony on their big day, for couples leaving for destination weddings or for couples looking to avoid the big show in general! My rates for these are less than City Hall and best of all, I'll come to you.

I am based in downtown Toronto, but spend time throughout the summer in the Muskoka area, usually close to Baysville.
