Treetop Haven

Treetop Haven feels like a wedding disappearing into the Prince Edward Island woods.

Set across 50 acres in Mount Tryon, this all-season retreat surrounds couples with forest, trails and the wonderful feeling that everyone has escaped somewhere together for the celebration.

And now, weddings have a place of their own here.

Treetop Haven's newly renovated wedding venue can welcome up to 200 guests, bringing the ceremony and reception together on the same forest property.

That means the day can unfold without constantly packing everyone into cars and sending them somewhere else.

Guests arrive among the trees.

The ceremony begins.

Photographs can disappear into the surrounding landscape while everyone else settles into the celebration, and eventually the whole wedding comes back together for dinner and the evening ahead.

But what makes Treetop Haven particularly memorable is where some of those guests can stay.

Five geodesic TreePODS are elevated among the trees, creating little private hideaways in the forest. There are also two cosy woodland cabins and two larger apartments above the Venue Centre, giving the people closest to the couple the possibility of staying right where the wedding is happening.

The TreePODS and cabins even have their own hot tubs.

Suddenly the wedding becomes a weekend.

People arrive the day before. Bags disappear into cabins and domes. Friends wander through the woods. Someone inevitably decides a hot tub is exactly what wedding preparation requires.

Then morning comes and the forest that felt like a getaway yesterday becomes the backdrop to the reason everyone travelled here.

The vows happen.

Dinner gathers everyone together.

Eventually the music begins and the carefully planned part of the wedding gives way to the party everyone was waiting for.

Much later, some guests simply wander back through the property to bed.

And tomorrow morning, everyone wakes up among the trees on Prince Edward Island with the wedding still feeling wonderfully close.
