The Studio Sisters

Some couples know almost immediately that a huge traditional wedding is not for them.

The Studio Sisters in downtown Chatham was made with those couples in mind.

Created by identical twin sisters Nicole and Danielle, both of whom already had careers within the wedding industry, this intimate venue and natural-light studio was designed as a place where small celebrations could still feel beautifully considered.

The open-concept studio spans more than 1,200 square feet, with soaring 20-foot ceilings and generous natural light giving the space an airy feeling that photographs beautifully.

Weddings here are intentionally intimate.

The venue welcomes small ceremonies, reception dinners and elopement-style celebrations, with the main event setup suited to around 40 guests.

That smaller number changes everything.

Instead of trying to greet a room filled with hundreds of people, couples can actually spend the evening with everyone who came.

The ceremony feels close.

Dinner feels like gathering around a beautiful table rather than feeding a crowd.

Speeches are heard from only a few feet away.

And by the end of the night, there is a good chance everyone in the room has spoken to everyone else.

The studio itself is kept neutral and contemporary, allowing flowers, candles and personal details to shape the wedding without competing against an overly decorated room. A dedicated dining area adds soft drapery and patterned flooring, creating another atmosphere within the same venue.

And because photography is part of The Studio Sisters' original purpose, light has been considered from the beginning.

That can matter enormously on a wedding day.

Beautiful photographs do not require leaving the celebration for hours or hoping the weather cooperates. The room itself was designed to be photographed.

The studio can also become part of the wedding morning, giving couples a bright, comfortable space for getting ready before the ceremony begins.
