The Canmore Miners' Union Hall

The Canmore Miners' Union Hall gives couples something no newly built wedding venue can recreate: more than a century of stories already held within its walls.

Completed in 1913 and set in the heart of downtown Canmore, the fully renovated heritage hall has hosted weddings and community celebrations for generations. Today it can seat up to 100 guests for dinner or welcome up to 150 for a standing reception, making it a beautiful size for couples who want their celebration to feel lively but still intimate.

The main hall is an open, flexible space that couples can make entirely their own. Long tables and warm lighting can create a cosy dinner-party feeling, while romantic florals and personal décor can soften the historic room without hiding the character that makes it special.

A fully equipped catering kitchen and bar area are available with the full facility, and couples can choose their own caterer and manage the bar according to the venue's requirements. Tables and cushioned chairs are also provided.

Its downtown location means the wider Canmore experience sits just outside the doors, with the Rocky Mountains surrounding the town and accommodation, restaurants and photographs all close by.

For couples drawn to heritage, creativity and celebrations that feel heartfelt rather than highly packaged, the Miners' Union Hall offers a charming mountain-town setting where old Canmore history can become part of a brand-new family story.
