Stone Bridge Island Farm

Some wedding places feel as though they were waiting for a love story long before the invitations were printed. Stone Bridge Island Farm has that feeling. Spread across 80 acres on Salt Spring Island, the property brings together sweeping open fields, ocean views, ponds, sandstone cliffs and the silhouettes of arbutus and oak trees, giving a wedding room to feel wonderfully removed from the ordinary.

At the centre of the celebration is an 8,000-square-foot clear-span barn. Its large sliding doors open on all four sides, allowing the surrounding farm and distant views to remain part of the reception rather than disappearing once everyone moves indoors. The concrete floor and generous open layout leave couples space to shape dinner, dancing and décor around their own vision.

Outside, the landscape creates more than one possible chapter for the day. A ceremony can feel expansive against fields and water, photographs can wander through the farm, and sunset has the chance to become part of the evening rather than simply something happening beyond a ballroom wall.
