SpringBreak Flower Farm

SpringBreak Flower Farm is what happens when the flowers are not brought to the wedding venue.

The wedding venue grows them.

Hidden among five acres in Crowsnest Pass, this working flower farm transforms its greenhouses and gardens into a wedding world each summer, surrounded by mountains, fountains, greenery and more than 250 baskets and containers overflowing with flowers.

Then there is the grapevine.

The reception unfolds beneath an enormous living canopy created by what SpringBreak describes as Canada's largest grapevine, its leaves stretching overhead while as many as 175 guests gather beneath it for dinner and celebration.

It is difficult to imagine needing much artificial decoration after that.

Couples can still bring their own details, of course, but much of the work has already been done by the place itself.

Flowers spill through the property.

Mountains rise beyond it.

And the gardens change naturally as summer moves along.

The ceremony can happen outside among all that colour, with the Crowsnest Pass landscape around the vows.

But Alberta weather does not get the final say.

SpringBreak also has an indoor ceremony option, and the decision to move inside can be made remarkably close to ceremony time.

So couples can plan for the garden without spending the entire morning staring nervously at a weather app.

Weddings here can be intimate too.

The venue works for celebrations beginning around 30 to 50 guests as naturally as it does for a gathering approaching 175.

There is even a boutique B&B on the property, plus private camping for wedding guests, allowing some of the people closest to the couple to wake up right where the celebration happened.

Then summer evening settles over the farm.

Dinner is served beneath the leaves.

Flowers surround the tables without ever having arrived in a delivery van.

Beyond the greenhouse, the mountains begin disappearing into the evening light.

And for one day, this little flower farm in Crowsnest Pass feels as though it grew specifically for the two of you.
