Plaza 88 feels like a wedding that can grow or shrink to fit exactly the celebration a couple has in mind, all under one roof in the heart of Prince Albert.

The building at 888 Central Avenue holds several banquet halls and meeting rooms, a space for performances and an activity centre, with a resident caterer in-house. Weddings are one of the events the venue is built for, and staff offer tours to help a couple find the room that fits.

The largest is Kings Court, which seats 320 for a banquet, or 250 when a dance floor is added. Prince Albert Hall can seat up to 500 for dinner. For a mid-sized wedding, Knight Hall seats 120 at tables, Big Bear Hall seats 80 and the Activity Centre seats up to 200 banquet style. Smaller celebrations have the Poundmaker Room for 48 or the Laurier Room for 32, which suits a rehearsal dinner or an intimate reception.

Because catering is handled by the resident caterer, the food and the room come from the same team, which takes a good deal of coordination off the couple's plate.

Imagine the day moving from a ceremony to dinner in one of the halls, then the tables pushed back and the dance floor filling as the evening goes on. Plaza 88 gives a Prince Albert couple a downtown wedding with real choice, whether the guest list is thirty or several hundred.
