Milner Gardens and Woodland

Some places already feel like a fairytale before a wedding ever arrives.

Milner Gardens and Woodland is one of them.

Set across 70 acres in Qualicum Beach, the estate brings together an ancient coastal forest, romantic gardens and views across the Salish Sea toward the mountains beyond.

Weddings here are focused entirely on the ceremony.

Couples can gather up to approximately 150 guests on the Grand Lawn, surrounded by gardens that have taken decades to become what they are today.

The wedding party also has private rooms inside historic Milner House to spend those nervous hours before the ceremony begins.

Then everyone steps outside.

The gardens are quiet.

Guests turn toward the aisle.

And somewhere among old trees, flowers and the coastal landscape, two people make a promise about everything that comes next.

Afterward, the entire public garden becomes available for photographs.

The newlyweds can wander among rhododendrons, woodland paths and garden spaces while the Salish Sea waits beyond them.

There is no reception here, and perhaps that gives the ceremony an even stronger sense of purpose.

Milner is simply about the moment itself.
