Mabel Hill Farm Kitchen and Marketplace

Mabel Hill feels like a Saskatchewan wedding where dinner belongs to the landscape just as much as the ceremony does.

Outside Nipawin, the farm brings together open green space, timber, gardens and a kitchen that makes food part of the wedding story rather than simply the thing everyone eats before dancing.

Couples have three different places to begin.

The ceremony can gather beneath the pavilion, beside the gazebo or inside the restaurant, allowing the size, season and feeling of the wedding to decide which part of Mabel Hill becomes the setting for the vows.

Then there is the Pavilion.

Built from beautiful fir timbers, the covered outdoor space welcomes up to 100 guests and keeps the reception connected to the countryside around it.

An attached pergola has a retractable roof, while a full bar and servery allow the practical pieces of the celebration to sit naturally alongside the romantic ones.

For smaller weddings, the restaurant offers another possibility.

Around 60 to 75 guests can gather inside, creating a celebration where dinner feels wonderfully close and connected.

And food really matters here.

Mabel Hill creates custom menus around each event, with buffet, family-style, plated and tasting experiences available depending on the celebration.

Seasonal ingredients from the garden can even find their way onto the menu.

There is something especially lovely about that on a wedding day.

Flowers may decorate the tables.

But elsewhere on the same property, something growing in the earth may become part of dinner too.

Then guests can wander back outside.

There is green space for lawn games and a fire pit waiting for the quieter part of the evening, when some people remain on the dance floor and others drift toward the flames with a drink and finally get the chance to talk.
