Some weddings need a tiny room and twenty favourite people.

Others need space.

A lot of it.

For the second kind, Brandon's Keystone Centre gives couples one of the largest and most flexible event properties in Manitoba, with enough room for the wedding where family, friends, traditions and an enormous dance floor all need to fit beneath the same roof.

MNP Hall is the natural heart of a reception here.

At nearly 8,000 square feet, the banquet room can welcome hundreds of guests and sits beside the Centre's full-service kitchen and banquet preparation area.

For a smaller celebration, the room can divide into two, allowing couples to create something more intimate without giving up the practical advantages of a major event facility.

And practicality is one of Keystone's strengths.

Catering is handled in house.

Bar service is available.

Event staff can help bring together the pieces behind the celebration, while thousands of parking spaces remove one of those decidedly unromantic wedding-day problems.

There is even a hotel connected to the complex, making the end of the night considerably easier for guests who have travelled to Brandon.

But eventually all that practicality disappears into the background.

The enormous room has been transformed.

Tables are dressed.

Flowers soften the space.

Hundreds of people who normally live in completely different parts of the couple's life are suddenly gathered in one place.

Dinner arrives.

Speeches travel across the room.

Then chairs empty and the dance floor fills.

Keystone may spend the rest of its year hosting everything from entertainment to major community events.

But on one particular night, all that space exists for something much more personal.

One couple managed to get everyone they love under the same roof.
