Hôtel Le Montagnais has been part of Chicoutimi for more than half a century, bringing together the rooms, food, reception spaces and people needed to turn one very important day into something that feels effortless from the other side.

Le Montagnais has been gathering people in Chicoutimi for more than sixty years.

What began as a motel in a field has grown into one of Saguenay's largest hotel and event properties, with hundreds of guest rooms and a collection of function spaces capable of changing dramatically with the size of the celebration.

For a wedding, that flexibility matters.

An intimate dinner does not need to pretend it has 300 guests.

A large family wedding does not need to start cutting names simply because the room cannot stretch any farther.

The reception can be built around the guest list rather than the other way around.

Food stays in house too, with the hotel's culinary and banquet teams handling the meal and service while event advisors help couples shape the celebration.

Then everyone can stay.

With more than 300 rooms and suites, the wedding does not have to end in a parking lot full of people working out who is driving where.

Guests simply head upstairs.

That turns the following morning into part of the story.

People meet again over breakfast.

Children are considerably more awake than their parents.

Someone is still talking about the dance floor.

Le Montagnais is not trying to be a tiny secret venue.
