At Ganaraska Forest Centre, the celebration can feel like everyone has escaped into the woods together for an entire weekend.

Set in the heart of the 11,000-acre Ganaraska Forest near Campbellcroft, the Centre offers couples a wonderfully private destination-style wedding surrounded by trees, trails and quiet Ontario wilderness.

Outdoor ceremonies can take place in Maple Valley or another scenic corner of the forest, allowing couples to exchange their vows beneath the trees before wandering into the property for photographs.

For couples dreaming of something especially cozy, ceremonies can also move inside to the Great Hall, where a large stone fireplace creates a beautiful setting for a winter wedding.

The Great Hall can host approximately 165 guests on its own and up to around 200 when combined with the adjoining Seminar Room.

One of the greatest charms of Ganaraska is that wedding rentals take over the facility for the full weekend.

There are 20 dormitory-style bedrooms for overnight guests, along with separate suite accommodations, allowing the people closest to the couple to stay right in the forest.

That means the memories can begin before the ceremony.
