Down by the Bridge

Some venues feel as though they have always been gathering places, even before they became wedding venues.

Down by the Bridge sits on the north shore of Prince Edward Island where the Winter River meets Tracadie Bay, on a property generations of locals already knew as a place to come together.

Today, the former church property has been transformed into a collection of indoor and outdoor event spaces designed for weddings and celebrations.

Couples can choose from two indoor venues and waterfront outdoor settings, allowing the day to move naturally with the weather and the size of the guest list.

The Event Centre can gather approximately 150 guests around tables, while The Hall creates a more intimate atmosphere for smaller celebrations.

But the loveliest part is outside.

The ceremony can begin with the Winter River and coastal landscape nearby.

Then guests settle into cocktails while the newlyweds stay by the water for photographs.

Later, dinner begins.

The light changes over Tracadie Bay and a place long connected with community becomes part of one new family's story.
