Cedar Valley Golf & Country Club

Cedar Valley has found a lovely middle ground between an outdoor wedding and the reassuring knowledge that nobody needs to spend the week obsessively refreshing the weather forecast.

Just north of Brockville, its four-season pavilion keeps the gardens close while giving the celebration a climate-controlled home.

Natural light fills the roughly 3,000-square-foot space, with modern black details framing views toward the greenery outside. Side walls can open when the weather is beautiful or close when it is not, allowing the landscape to remain part of the wedding without making the entire day dependent on it.

Up to 180 guests can celebrate here.

There is a ceremony space with an arbour and chairs, followed by a pavilion already equipped with tables, a bar and dance floor. The golf course adds another backdrop for photographs, while the venue's coordinator helps keep the many moving pieces of the day moving in roughly the same direction.

Smaller weddings have not been forgotten.

Clubhouse options allow celebrations of around 30 to 70 guests to stay deliberately intimate, with ceremony, cocktails and reception able to flow through a more compact setting.

That flexibility gives Cedar Valley an advantage.

The venue does not require a couple to have 150 people before their wedding feels complete.

Nor does it run out of room when the guest list grows.

Instead, the celebration finds the space that fits it.

And by evening, whether thirty people or nearly two hundred came to witness it, the ending is wonderfully similar.

Dinner is finished.

The bar is busy.

And the dance floor has finally become the most important square footage on the property.
