Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant

Hidden within Fish Creek Provincial Park, Bow Valley Ranche has the feeling of a country wedding that somehow never left Calgary.

The historic ranch house is already full of character. Hardwood floors, heavy timber, antler chandeliers and stone fireplaces create rooms that feel warm before a single candle is lit. Outside, lawns, mature trees and the surrounding park give couples space to hold the ceremony in the open air, wander through the grounds for photographs or gather on the veranda for cocktails.

Summer weddings can move through the gardens and gazebo before dinner inside, while winter changes the mood completely. Snow settles around the house, fireplaces become part of the ceremony and the whole celebration takes on the feeling of a private retreat.

The Grand Salon can seat up to 110 for dinner or welcome a larger standing reception, while smaller rooms give intimate weddings somewhere that still feels special. Couples also have dedicated getting-ready spaces upstairs, including a bridal suite overlooking the gardens and a separate room for the groom.

Food is a major part of the experience, with the restaurant's culinary team creating plated, buffet and reception-style menus around the event.

Bow Valley Ranche is especially lovely because the building and landscape already have a story. Couples get to add their wedding to it rather than starting with an empty room.
