At Blazing Horizon Resort, it seems to follow you through the entire celebration.

Set along the coast in Whiteway, the family-run resort overlooks Trinity Bay and the distinctive Shag Rocks, giving couples a wedding setting filled with open water, rugged coastline and the kind of sunsets that made the property particularly well named.

Weddings are hosted between May and September, with couples able to choose from outdoor ceremony settings along the oceanfront before moving into the resort's indoor event venue known as The Stage.

Instead of building a backdrop, you can allow Newfoundland to provide one.

The water stretches out behind you. Sea air moves across the property. Guests look toward the same coastline that will later appear throughout your wedding photographs.

Then, after the ceremony, you can slip away together along the property while everyone else settles into the celebration.

The Stage keeps the scenery close even once everyone moves inside. Picture windows look toward the water and Shag Rocks, while connected outdoor areas allow guests to step back outside throughout the evening. The room can seat approximately 100 people for dinner and dancing.

Food can also remain on the property through Brown's Restaurant, which caters weddings and events held at The Stage.

Perhaps the loveliest part, though, is that nobody necessarily has to leave once the music stops.

Blazing Horizon has oceanfront cottages, a chalet and serviced RV sites, allowing couples to turn the wedding into more than an evening. Families can stay nearby and the resort can even be booked more extensively for additional privacy.

So the wedding can continue into the morning.
