Bilston Creek Farm only hosts ten weddings a year.

On Vancouver Island, just beyond Victoria, the working farm sits between forest and sea, with lavender fields, heritage apple orchards and more than a century and a half of agricultural history beneath the celebration.

Couples can have exclusive access for the day or turn the wedding into an entire weekend.

The ceremony can find its place somewhere among the farm's natural backdrops before guests wander toward cocktails and the celebration begins moving through the estate.

Later, the Upper Barn becomes part of the story.

Its timber frame looks across the lavender fields, giving the first dance a backdrop that feels unmistakably connected to the place rather than imported for the occasion.

Then there is the possibility of staying.

Ten furnished canvas bell tents can accommodate up to 20 guests, allowing some of the people closest to the couple to spend two nights right on the farm. There is even an outdoor forest shower built with reclaimed wood from the orchard.

That changes the wedding completely.

The night before can belong to rehearsals and friends.

Wedding morning begins surrounded by the same fields where the ceremony will happen.

And when the formal celebration ends, some guests are not leaving the little world everyone created together.

They are sleeping inside it.
