At Assiniboine Park, the hardest wedding decision may not be what flowers to choose.

Couples can marry outdoors among lush plantings in spaces such as the Kitchen Garden, Performance Garden, Johnston Family Seasonal Garden or The Grove, with some settings accommodating celebrations of 200 people or more.

Or forget Winnipeg weather altogether.

Small ceremonies can even happen inside the tropical biomes of The Leaf, surrounding the vows with warmth and greenery regardless of what the season is doing outside.

Then everyone needs somewhere to celebrate.

The Leaf's banquet hall can seat up to 260 guests overlooking its living garden biomes.

The historic Pavilion offers old-world character and park views for a more intimate gathering, while the Qualico Family Centre sits among oak and pine beside the Riley Family Duck Pond.

And then there is perhaps the most wonderfully unexpected option of all.

The Zoo.

At Gateway to the Arctic, up to 88 guests can sit down for dinner while polar bears and harbour seals move through the world beyond the glass.

Suddenly the wedding photograph nobody else has becomes entirely possible.

All of these spaces belong to the same enormous park, allowing couples to choose the version of Winnipeg nature that feels most like them.
