Ashgrove Acres feels like the kind of wedding place that was built by a family for families.
About 45 minutes from downtown Winnipeg, the city slowly gives way to southern Manitoba countryside and, waiting among all that open green space, is a wedding venue created as a genuine labour of love.

From the first idea to the building of the venue, maintaining the grounds and caring for the celebrations that happen here today, generations of the family have had a hand in creating this place. It gives Ashgrove something that cannot simply be added with flowers or beautiful décor.

Weddings here unfold between May and October, when the property is green and alive and the entire yard becomes part of the celebration. There is space to wander away for photographs, room for children to play and peaceful little outdoor corners where couples can steal those precious few minutes together after the vows.
The ceremony can happen outside beneath the Manitoba sky, surrounded by greenery and the people who have come to watch your story begin.
And then everyone moves inside.
This is where Ashgrove's rustic side becomes something unexpectedly elegant.
Soft draping sweeps overhead. Majestic chandeliers glow above the room. A custom-built pallet bar, antique details and warm country character sit comfortably beside dressed tables, flowers and all the beautiful little things couples bring with them.
The venue can seat approximately 250 to 300 guests with round tables, depending on how dinner is served, giving couples room for a wonderfully full celebration without losing the relaxed feeling of being out in the country.
