Arrowwood Farm & Events

Arrowwood Farm is the sort of place where guests may arrive for the wedding and find themselves talking about the blueberries.

Set in the countryside near Melbourne, Ontario, the working farm surrounds its celebrations with gardens, orchards, fields and the quiet simplicity of land that is being used rather than merely landscaped for photographs.

Couples have two particularly lovely ways to gather here.

The Harvest Table is the intimate one.

Built with a timber frame and warmed by rustic barn board and a fireplace, it seats 56 guests indoors. For a smaller wedding, that creates exactly the sort of room where dinner feels shared rather than served, with everyone close enough to hear the laughter from the other tables.

Then there is the Summerhouse.

Tucked among the trees beside The Harvest Table, the seasonal pavilion can welcome celebrations of up to 150 people from May through October. Views stretch toward Arrowwood's pick-your-own blueberry orchard, bringing the working farm into the backdrop without requiring a tent to create a larger celebration space.

Elsewhere on the property are colourful gardens, orchards and blueberry fields, giving couples plenty of reasons to wander away together for photographs.

Food belongs naturally to the experience too.

Arrowwood has its own kitchen and catering, fitting a venue where growing, cooking and gathering have always been connected.

The result is a wedding that does not need to pretend it happened in the countryside.

It really did.

And somewhere between the trees, the fireplace, the orchard and the dinner table, the farm stops feeling like the place everyone drove to that morning.

It starts feeling like somewhere they were invited to stay awhile.
