Ainsdale Golf Course feels like the kind of wedding where you can disappear into the countryside for a little while, with rolling fairways around you, Lake Huron only minutes away and everyone you love waiting back at the clubhouse.

Set across scenic, gently rolling terrain in Kincardine, Ainsdale is an 18-hole golf course with a renovated clubhouse and banquet space created to welcome weddings of approximately 150 guests. Trees, beautifully maintained fairways and wide Ontario skies surround the property, giving the day that lovely feeling of having escaped somewhere quieter.

And there is something wonderfully romantic about a golf course once the wedding clothes arrive.

Suddenly the fairways are no longer about golf. They become long stretches of green for the two of you to wander through together, stealing a few peaceful photographs while the celebration carries on somewhere behind you.

For a little while, everything becomes still.

The guests are waiting. Dinner has not quite begun. The light is starting to soften across the course and you have those precious few minutes where there is nobody else to talk to, nowhere else to be and nothing left to plan.

You are simply married.

Then it is time to go back.

Inside the renovated clubhouse, the banquet and bar area can welcome approximately 150 guests. The interiors have been refreshed over the years with updated flooring, décor and seating, while the bar received a complete modern renovation of its own.

But by the time the wedding begins, those details become the background.

Flowers arrive. Tables are dressed. Glasses wait to be raised and the room slowly stops looking like a golf clubhouse at all.

It becomes yours.

Ainsdale's team handles the food in house and places particular emphasis on cuisine, service and personal attention, allowing the evening to move from cocktails into dinner and then into the part everyone has secretly been waiting for.

The first few people brave enough to start dancing.

And eventually, almost everyone else joining them.
